The Secret To A Happy, Healthy Vagina

Who doesn’t want a happy and healthy vagina?

Sadly, there are many people who struggle with their vaginal health but don’t know what to do about it other than relying solely on a medical approach. But what happens when the medical approach doesn’t work anymore?

I talk to so many people who tell me that antibiotics, antifungals, and antiviral medication aren’t helping them anymore because their vaginal infections almost ALWAYS come back.

That’s why understanding the ROOT CAUSE of your vaginal health is important to managing and maintaining the health of your vagina!

Did you know that the health of your vagina is connected to the health of your gut?

When your gut is healthy, when your digestion is healthy, and when your gut microbiome is flourishing, so is your immune system, your nervous system, your brain, your hormones, your digestion, AND, your vaginal health.

The health of your vagina is also connected to the health of your immune system, nervous system, and endocrine systems, which are also all connected back to the health of your gut.

This information is crucial for people who are struggling with common (chronic) vaginal infections like:

  • bacterial vaginosis

  • urinary tract infections
  • genital herpes outbreaks
  • HPV infections

Your gut health is the first thing that needs to be addressed if you experience these common infections, ESPECIALLY if they keep coming back even after taking the medication.

A medical approach with medication is needed to treat the symptoms, but a medical approach does not treat the root cause.

For many people who are struggling with recurring vaginal infections like the ones I mentioned above, it is often connected to candida overgrowth.

Candida overgrowth is caused by an overgrowth of a fungus called Candida Albicans in the gut. Everyone has candida as part of their gut microbiome, and it is responsible for nutrient absorption and digestion. When candida overpopulates the gut, that’s when it can cause problems in the body.

Candida overgrowth comes along with many common symptoms that you maybe didn’t know were connected to your gut health – some are severe and chronic, but some are low-key and almost unnoticeable.

  • Diet high in sugar, carbohydrates, processed and junk foods
  • Long-term hormonal contraceptive use
  • Long-term antibiotic use
  • Heavy alcohol/drug consumption

  • Lack of sleep
  • Inflammation
  • Insulin resistance/blood sugar imbalances
